Moving from Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Tradify, Fergus, ServiceM8, Simpro, AroFlo, Jobber or another service?

Export your data from your old app, then drop the files into Yamate. It reads them, sorts them and shows you a tick-list — nothing lands until you tick it.

Step-by-step export guides

Guides for Xero, Fergus, Simpro, AroFlo, Jobber are inside the app, under Import data → How do I export my data? — they join this page once every step has been checked in a real account.

Other app or spreadsheet

  1. In your old app look for Export, Download, Reports or Backup.
  2. Choose CSV or Excel.
  3. Get what you can: customers, invoices (with paid or owed), payments, quotes, open jobs, bills, your price list and suppliers.
  4. Drop them all in at once. If Yamate isn't sure what a file is, it asks.

What comes across

Customers, invoices (owed and paid), payments, quotes, open jobs, bills, your price list and suppliers. A chart of accounts is used to sort your bills.

Notes, photos, attachments and staff don’t come across — those apps don’t export them in a form Yamate can use.

Then bring it into Yamate

  1. Open Yamate and go to Settings → Your data → Import data. New accounts are asked once, after the welcome.
  2. Drop all the files in at once — CSV, Excel or ZIP. They are read on your phone or computer.
  3. Check the tick-list. Owed invoices stay owed, paid ones count as paid, and nothing you already have is changed.
  4. Tap Add. Anything you untick is left out.
