Getting started
Tap Start free and the app opens — no card and no sign-up form. You get 30 days with everything unlocked.
If you do nothing at the end of the trial, the account simply stops. You are not billed for forgetting to cancel.
Want to look around first? The live demo is free, needs no card, and you can use it for as long as you like.

Yamate runs on iPhone and Android from the browser, and adds itself to your home screen like any other app.
- Open the app in your phone’s browser.
- On Android, tap the install prompt (one tap). On iPhone, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
- Open it from your home screen — it runs full-screen and works offline on site.
In the app: Settings → On your phone

Do your business details first, then how you get paid, then your price list. Everything else builds on those three.
- Business details — name, ABN, phone, address, state.
- Get paid online — PayID or bank details, so your first invoice can be paid.
- Price list — a starter list for your trade is one tap.
- Logo and colours, so quotes look like yours.
- Your first quote or invoice — or upload an old invoice to bring your history across.
- Cloud backup, so your books survive a lost phone.
- Automatic follow-ups, once you are comfortable.
Stuck on what is next? Ask ya mate in the app — it knows what you have already done and names the next step.

Your business name, ABN, phone, address and state go on every quote and invoice, so they come first.
Your ABN is what makes an invoice a tax invoice, so do not skip it.

Photograph or upload an old invoice and Yamate reads your business details, customers and prices from it. Nothing lands until you tick it.
- On the welcome screen, tap Upload an old invoice — or use Smart upload later.
- Check what it found in the tick-list.
- Tick what you want to keep. Anything unticked is left out.

Jobs, quotes, invoices, customers and photos stay on your device, so you can keep working with no signal. Anything that needs the internet waits until you are back in range.
Texting a customer, taking a card payment, cloud sync, the AI and live lookups like an ABN search wait for a connection. The work is saved; only the sending waits.

Quotes
Tap +, then Start a quote, and say or type the job. The AI drafts priced lines from your price list; you check every line and set the final price.
- Tap + and choose Start a quote.
- Describe the job — speak or type.
- Check every line and the total. Change anything you like.
- Save, then send it as a link when you are ready.
Nothing reaches a customer until you have seen it and tapped send.

Once a quote has line items, a Deposit box appears. Set an amount and the customer can pay it to lock in the booking when they accept.
- Add the line items to the quote.
- In Deposit, tap 10%, 20% or 50% — or tap Suggest a deposit, which uses your usual percentage or covers the materials.
- Leave it blank or tap No deposit if you do not want one.
- Send the quote. The customer sees the deposit and pays it when they accept.
Automatic follow-ups can nudge a customer about an unpaid deposit before the job.

Your price list is the saved items quotes are built from. A starter list for your trade is one tap, and you change any price.

Share your booking link and customers describe the job themselves. It asks follow-up questions one at a time, and the request lands with a quote already drafted.

Invoices & getting paid
Tap +, Start an invoice, and say what you did. Or on a finished job, mark it Done and tap Bill it — Yamate gives it the next invoice number.
- Tap + and choose Start an invoice — or open a finished job and tap Bill it.
- Check the lines and the GST.
- Save, then send it as a link. The customer page shows the job, the price, the GST and how to pay.

Put your PayID or bank details on your invoices so customers pay you direct. For cards, connect your own Stripe or Square — the money goes straight to you.
Yamate never touches the money. Payments go to your own account.
In the app: Settings → Get paid online
Related: Get paid on the spot with Pay QR · Make an invoice
Open the job and tap Mark paid. A customer saying “I’ve paid” never marks an invoice paid on its own — you check first.
Related: Make an invoice · Take a deposit on a quote
Open the job, tap ⋯ More, then Pay QR. The customer scans the full-screen code and pays by card.
It needs a payment link set up in Get paid online first.

For a cash job paid in full with no invoice, tap Log a cashie on the Money screen. It still counts in your income and tax summary.

Texts & missed calls
When you miss a call, Yamate texts the caller your booking link. You set it up once in Settings.
- Open Settings → Missed-call text-back.
- Get your number, then dial the divert codes on your phone.
- Run the test call. The screen shows honestly whether it is fully set up.
Related: Let customers ask for a job (your booking link) · Reply STOP and who texts are from
Every automatic text says it is from your business, and a customer who replies STOP is never texted automatically again.
Related: Turn on automatic follow-ups · See customer replies
Yamate emails you when a customer accepts or declines a quote, asks for changes, says they have paid, or books through your link. Each one has its own switch.
This is about emails to YOU. The texts and emails to your customers are Automatic follow-ups.

Crew & pay
On the Company plan, add logins in Settings → Your crew. You choose what each one sees — someone on the tools sees their jobs, not the books.
In the app: Settings → Your crew

Workers on the tools get a login free, with no cap. What counts is people who can see money or send things — you, the office, and anyone you run wages for.
So two people in the office and eight on the tools is the $29 plan, not the $59 one.
Related: Plans and prices · Give your crew their own logins
Add your crew, then run a pay: PAYG from the ATO schedules, super on qualifying earnings, and a payslip out.
Yamate does not report payroll to the ATO — it gives you the figures and the payslips.

Account, billing & your data
$19 a month on the Founder plan if you join by 30 October 2026, then $29 a month — both cover the business and up to 3 people. The Company plan is $59 a month for 8 people.
No lock-in, no per-text charges, and no cut of what you invoice. If we ever raise the price you pay, we email you at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then. Your subscription renews each month until you cancel.

We would rather say so plainly. These are not built — here is what to do instead.
No supplier ordering integration — build a materials list on the job.
No two-way accounting sync — the Xero push is one way, and the CSVs cover the rest.
No payroll reporting to the ATO, and no BAS or tax lodgement of any kind — summaries and estimates only.
Quotes and invoices never send on their own — they always preview first.
No location tracking, no geofencing, no GPS timesheets.
No CarPlay or watch app. It installs from the browser and works offline.
