Set the site and shed scope
Provide dimensions, intended use, photos of access and the ground, and whether the shed will carry services or vehicles. Ask whether the quote includes drawings, footings or slab, installation and drainage.
A small garden shed may meet an exempt-development pathway only if local standards are met; do not assume every shed needs no approval.
Compare like-for-like shed quotes
Ask for frame and cladding specification, doors and windows, wind rating, slab and anchoring, delivery access, approvals, electrical coordination, cleanup, warranties and GST.
