What to ask a gasfitter to quote
Describe the appliance model, supply type, location and whether a new connection, alteration or repair is needed. Do not attempt gas pipework yourself. Ask what inspection, parts, testing and certificates or compliance records the quote covers.

A suspected gas leak comes first
If you smell gas, leave the area, keep others away and avoid flames and electrical switches. Contact the distributor emergency number on your gas bill or emergency services where there is immediate danger. Follow your local authority’s instructions.
