Marketing agencies for tradies in Australia

Five Australian agencies that work with trade businesses. What each one sells, who runs it, and the one question to ask before you sign anything.

Ask before you sign: who owns the domain, the hosting, the Google Business Profile and the ads account when this ends?

If the answer is anything other than you, you are renting. Plenty of tradies discover at the end of a contract that the website they paid for cannot be moved, the reviews sit on a profile someone else controls, and the ad account with two years of conversion history goes back to the agency. The work might have been good. You just cannot take it with you.

Beyond that, the agencies below differ in one honest way: some sell you an asset and some sell you leads. A website and a ranking are yours and keep working after you stop paying, slowly decaying. Leads stop the day the invoice stops. Both are legitimate. Only one is still there next year.

Nobody paid to be on this page and there are no affiliate links. Everything below was read off each agency's own site in August 2026.

TradieMate

The widest service list here by some distance: websites, SEO, Google Ads, social ads across six platforms, branding and logos, content, email, Google Business Profile, capability statements, photography and CRM setup.

They split clients into three stages, Launch for solo operators, Scale for two to eight people, and Dominate for ten and up, which is a more honest way of pricing than pretending a one-van sparky needs the same thing as a twenty-person outfit. No owner names and no pricing are published, so both come out on the call.

Best for: a tradie who wants one agency to hand the whole lot to. tradiemate.au

True Blue Tradie Marketing

Josh Kealy spent over 15 years on the tools before this; Ruby Hodgetts brings close to a decade of digital marketing. They cover 60-plus trade categories and work Australia wide.

The interesting part is how they charge. If you do not get leads, you do not pay. That model puts the risk on them, which is rare and worth taking seriously. Read what counts as a lead before you agree, because that definition is the whole contract.

Best for: a tradie who wants results on the line and would rather buy leads than a project. truebluetradie.au

Temerity Digital

Elliot Dean and Marcus, working out of Mount Waverley in Melbourne with 23 years in digital marketing behind them. They also take dentists, lawyers and other service businesses, so trades are a specialty rather than the only thing they do.

This is the narrowest offer on the page and that is the appeal. SEO, properly: audits, keyword research, competitor analysis, on-page work, links from trade associations and directories, Google Business Profile, new service and location pages, monthly reporting. No website build, no social, no ads.

Best for: a trade business that already has a decent site and wants it to rank. temeritydigital.com.au

Marketing for Trades

Run by Amish and Avani, based at Brookvale on Sydney's northern beaches with a second Sydney CBD address, with about 30 years of combined business experience between them. Websites, redesigns, SEO, and hosting and maintenance.

They make a point of no jargon and no lock-in contracts. The hosting and maintenance line matters more than it sounds: a tradie site that nobody updates is how you end up with an expired certificate and a browser warning in front of every customer who searches your name.

Best for: Sydney trades who want the site built and then actually looked after.

Tradelift

The smallest here. Websites, SEO and automation, and they only take tradies and business services. One team handles all three rather than passing you between a web person, an SEO person and whoever set up the booking form.

No long-term contracts, in their words you stay because it works rather than because you are stuck. For a solo operator that is the difference between a marketing spend you can stop and one you cannot.

Best for: a sole trader or small crew who wants a real person answering, and no contract to argue with later.

Two things worth checking yourself

Does the agency rank for its own keywords? An SEO agency that cannot get its own site found is telling you something. You can check any domain's authority free on Ahrefs' website authority checker in about ten seconds, no account needed.

Ask for a trade client whose site you can look at. Not a screenshot, the live site. Search the trade and the suburb and see whether it comes up.

Before you spend on leads

Marketing brings the phone call. What happens next is the bit that decides whether it was worth it: how fast the quote goes out, whether it gets followed up, and whether the invoice gets chased. Most tradies lose more money in that gap than they ever lose on ad spend.

Yamate handles that side, quoting, invoicing, chasing and GST estimates from the phone, at $19 a month flat if you sign up before 30 September 2026, $29 a month after. Worth having sorted before you turn the tap on.

FAQ

What does tradie marketing cost in Australia?

None of the five publish prices, which is standard for agency work. Expect a monthly retainer for SEO and management, quoted after a call, and a separate one-off for a website build.

SEO or Google Ads first?

Ads if you need the phone to ring this month, SEO if you can wait two or three quarters for something that keeps working. Most agencies will sell you both; you do not have to buy both on day one.

How were these five chosen?

Each one's own site says trade businesses are a specialty, each is independently run rather than a franchise, and each was read in August 2026 before being listed. Nobody paid to appear and there are no affiliate links.
